“I used to hate being different, now I embrace it. Me being different shapes everything about me and translates to my music.”

About
Bio
Dharbie began singing at a young age, practicing for hours every day after school in her room writing songs and singing. Growing up in church, gospel music was a mainstay in her home. In high school, she began to expand her musical repertoire by taking part in jazz choir, musical theatre as well as learning opera as a classically trained vocalist. All of these styles of music come together in soulful innovative way as she takes from various musical styles when creating her music. "There really isn't a genre of music I don't like, if it speaks to me, I like it," says the singer. Her favorite vocal influences include artists like Whitney Houston, Nina Simone, The Clark Sisters and Santigold to name a few. Dharbie recently released the soulful acoustic song, "Rose Colored Glasses," where she penned a lingering heartbreak. Her upcoming single, "Houdini," details a woman "waking up," from a toxic situation.
"My music, whether it is a song about love, heartbreak, setting goals, or whatever, always details the beauty and the pain in life and overcoming it. I just want people to know they can get through anything and beauty can come from painful situations," the singer states.
Dharbie continues to keep pushing the envelope when it comes to her music and continue creating music that uplifts, inspires and speaks to others.
